# Authentication — Depix.Online

Depix.Online does not require authentication for any of its agent-facing surfaces, and it does not
operate an authorization server. There is no agent registration endpoint, no client credential
issuance, and no OAuth or OpenID Connect metadata. Any document claiming otherwise for this domain
is not ours.

## Public read-only API

No credentials, no API key, no token. Send `Accept: application/json`.

Rate limit: 60 requests per minute per IP. Exceeding it returns `429` with a `Retry-After` header.

## Content in Markdown

Core public content has a Markdown representation. Request it either by sending
`Accept: text/markdown`, or by appending `.md` to the path:

Responses carry `Vary: Accept`, so cache them per representation.

## What agents cannot do

Buying and selling DePix is deliberately not exposed to automation. Both flows require a human:

- a PIX payment authorised in the user's own banking app;
- confirmation of the destination Liquid address, which is irreversible once sent;
- account verification with a CPF or CNPJ for purchases.

There is no public endpoint that creates, funds, or cancels an order, and no credential that would
grant one. An agent should gather information here and then hand the user to
https://depix.online to complete the transaction themselves.
